People are moving into the sunshine state in increasing numbers in the second quarter of 2010 according to Movers.com. When it comes to move-ins (people moving into Florida from the US or internationally) only Texas at 60% tops Florida slightly at 56.8%.
Accordingly, long-distance moves, increased in the second quarter to 40.5% of the total moves compared to 37% in the first quarter. Local moves still make up the majority of moves recorded.

Realtors in Naples are seeing increases in move-in traffic from home buyers who have landed jobs here. Yes, there are job openings in Naples. In the past couple months at White Sands Realty, we have seen everything from executive chefs to financial advisors buying Naples homes due to better local job opportunities.
Of course, this is in addition to our more typical clients who are either retired/semi-retired or second home buyers.
